I want to share a great tool that helped me lose weight.  It clarified what was healthy from what I thought was healthy.  Michi’s ladder is not a diet plan.  Instead, it is designed to help you make healthy food choices.  For a near perfect diet, eat foods from Tiers 1 and 2.  Eat 5-6 meals small meals per day and make each meal count (no empty calorie meals).  For a printable version of Michi’s Ladder click here.

Note on frying: Foods should be eaten raw, steamed, grilled, poached, baked, or broiled. Frying automatically drops even the best foods into tier 5.
